Two Awesome Things!

Yesterday was a great day. I know it’s reversed — maybe hold up your computer to a mirror?? LOL!

It’s the second issue ever of Quilty magazine and my advance copy is proof that it’s coming to a bookstore/craft store/newsstand near you! You can also buy the issue online right here. (Subscription info is coming soooon!)

And, also awesome yesterday, and exhibiting how SO COOL I am, here’s what I did on my Saturday night…

I was going to put the “Crown Of Thorns” quilt aside for awhile, but it kept bugging me. Watch for the finished product and the pattern in an upcoming issue of Quilty — I think March/April 2013… Isn’t it wonderful that in 2013 there will be SIX issues of Quilty?

I think it’s pretty neat. Thanks to everyone for reading and writing and sewing. Quilters are great and the Quilty fan is an extra special specimen. :)

Drats!!! I cannot find the new issue. No, not a B&N. It’s not even on the grocery store newsstand where the original issue was found and bought, and bought, and bought. Where o! where can Quilty be??

Idp, I just re-read Mary’s post. She is showing us her advance copy so it may not be available at the stores yet. I looked too! Very excited that next year there will be several issues.

Mary thanks so much for putting out Quilty. I have enjoyed the first issue. However, I didn’t realized this was a new issue of magazine. I’m really excited now because I am pretty new to the FonsandPorters website and I have felt a bit over whelmed. But with the new magazine I can look forward to figuring out the web page and reading the new magazine. Thanks so much, Cheryl

Has anyone found the new issue of Quilty yet? I have searched B&N, quilt stores, etc, but no one seems to have it. I was in another state earlier this week, and happened to check out an area quilt shop and local bookstore while I was there-nothing!
Anxious to read it-loved the first issue!

Hey Lauren!

Finally found Quilty on the newsstand. The issue was one of distribution. It seems there’s no consistency in what stores are carrying what magazines these days. At least that’s the case in this area. The space on the grocery store newsstand for quilting/crafting magazines, for example, has dwindled drastically since originally posting that message. I was lucky to have found that issue as well as the latest edition. The problem is that I have not found them at a single retailer. Again, this is not a Quilty issue, but a problem with distribution.
