Art Break: “A Quilting Party”
And now, a lovely painting entitled “A Quilting Party” by Enoch Wood Perry. Painted in 1876, this oil painting is one that I have to say would look *amazing* in my office. I’ll call Sotheby’s and see what I can find…
You know what I love best about it? It totally looks like the gal on the left is on her cell phone.
Have a wonderful week, everyone! Make time to sew, okay? It’s good for you.

The one on the phone kind of looks like Rebecca!
The gal on the cell phone is saying, “I can’t meet you today. My Grandma is teaching me to sew”
Nah, she is on the phone to her sister, who is on her way, to “Stop and grab me a Starbucks, will ya, please? Oh, and some donuts, too. I’ll pay you back when you get here. Kthxbye!”
(Sorry, I couldn’t resist…)
Uh, did they have telephones in 1876? LOL
I thought she was on her cell phone, too! I also thought that you must have digitally edited the photo to look that way–too funny!
Funny. The “cell phone connection” was the second thing I noticed about this picture. haha.
