That Pink Ruler!
FYI — the ruler we use sometimes on the show is the Guidelines 4 Quilting ruler! We appreciate all our sponsors and we really like pink, too.

Just found out about Quilty! I was looking for craft shows on BLIPTV. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!! I LOVE THE HOSTESS!! It is fun, informative, and inspiring! I actually pulled out my heart log cabin quilt and finished it!!! Keep up the great work!!! PS – why aren’t the more recent shows on BLIP? (i get BLIP via ROKU – that way I can watch it in my family room instead of at the computer)…
I was viewing one of your tutorials & saw you using this ruler. I went to their website & ordered it. I love it, but wish they made them bigger–longer & wider.
I also love the Pink ruler. I have not been able to locate your show in my area (San Francisco, CA ) Maybe you could let me know where I can locate the station. I have not been able to find any place to order the Shirting Prints that are used in several of the quilts that have been featured in the Fons and Porter magazine and TV program. I hope you can help me find the fabric. I really enjoy watching Marianne and Mary work together on TV.
Hi it’s me again. I am hoping that maybe one of your fans may know where I can purchase the Shirting Prints. If you know of any place please leave a comment. Nancy
Hey, Nancy!
I find a lot of great fabric that I don’t see in quilt shops on Fabric.com. They’re fast and easy to navigate when shopping. I also love Keepsake Quilting. An internet search for “shirting prints, quilting, fabric” should yield some hits! Good luck!

Could you PLEASE tell me what ruler(s) were used in the 1800 series; specifically the batik braid===I absolutely LOVE that quilt & think even I could make it. But before ordering the DVD of the series, I would like to know what ruler(s) in order that I also purchase them. Thanks for this program—adore all of you!
Hey, Jamice! The ruler on that show was the Fons & Porter hexagon ruler. You can find it right here: http://www.shopfonsandporter.com/product/Fons-and-Porter-Hexagon-Ruler/fabric-and-notions
Thank you so much for watching and writing in. We love you, too.
p.s., Nancy: “Love of Quilting” is on at a different time in every state. The best way to find out when it airs — or if it does, or to request that your station carry it — is to contact your PBS affiliate. An internet search will tell you how to contact them! Good luck and thank you… – Mar
Oh. Why wasn’t something like this made sooner? I’ve always wondered if there was a ruler like this because it only makes TOTAL sense! I’ve wasted a lot of fabric with my wonky cuts; I can’t cut straight or read a ruler correctly so this will be a real treat for me!! I even saved about $2.00 by ordering it from a link on Quilters Club of America… not too shabby! And I think the color will make it easy to find.
