Strippy Quilt Process Photos!

We did an episode of Quilty about a strippy quilt project — it was awesome! It co-starred Chicago crafter Shauna Smith. You have got to check out this girl’s Etsy page… Two words: BABY RATTLES. These things are so cute you might actually keel over from a cute attack. Fair warning.

Here are a few photos of the process. That first one is how I kept all my rows straight after I worked up the layout on my design wall. Ah, the mighty Post-It… No one tells you you need paper and a pencil when you make a quilt, but I’d be lost without both.

Thanks for all the email, intrepid Quilty fans! We’re so happy you like the show so far…

Hi, Celia!

Do you mean getting the blog on an RSS feed? I thought you could do that, but you’re right — I don’t think we have that button! I’ll get on it immediately. Thank you so much for reading — that goes for everyone. :)

Hey, I made one of those “strippy quilts” recently. Only I decided to make it at an angle. I used my flannel scraps in various lengths and widths. It turned out great. Thanks for the idea.
